I photographed the ‘Trumpets Against Trump’ march, the concept and execution of which was created by Conway and Young. This time we marched in protest of Donald Trumps visit to the UK in September 2025.
A description taken from Conway and Young’s website: “Trumpets Against Trump is a band made up entirely of trumpet players, who gather to perform a discordant drone piece whenever Donald Trump visits the UK during his presidency. Blowing badly on our lowest notes is an act of therapeutic exorcism, where words fail, in solidarity with all those affected by Trump and his policies. Anyone with a trumpet is invited to join the band, musicians and non-musicians. There were no auditions – the worse the better.”
